A potential plot setting for Season 6 of Money Heist
Money Heist had its last run on 3 December, 2021 with the
release of the final episodes of Season 5. While the makers of the show insist
this was the last season, my gut feeling says that international popularity can
be a strong motivation for any show to continue. But how can there be another
season when Tokyo, the main protagonist, was “killed” in Season 5? Read on for
a potential plot setting for Season 6…
Plot twist: As Gandia looks back to warn his team, Tokyo unbuckles the belt of grenades and darts behind a nearby pillar (or under a heavy desk, or behind a large statue). Gandia and many of his team die in the resulting explosion. Tokyo passes out from blood loss but is presumed dead by everyone.
The rest of the episode goes exactly as shown in Season 5. The team of robbers is fooled into signing a truce with the major of the Special Forces, followed by the storming of the Bank by the police. Then the Professor enters the bank and pulls off the heist successfully. However, in all this commotion, the police recover an unconscious Tokyo but keep this a secret from the robbers and the public.
The next scene is a fast forward to a year after the heist. The Professor and gang is enjoying their stolen wealth. One day, a member of the gang (possibly Rio or the Professor) realizes Tokyo is alive and has been in prison since a year.
The Professor stares intently at the horizon, knowing that the team must get together again to rescue Tokyo…
This plot setting seems to be the most logical way for the
makers to come up with Season 6 without losing a huge number of viewers. Tokyo
was the main protagonist of the show (along with the Professor) so her death in
Season 5 would make her fans lose interest in a Season 6.
If you want Season 6 to come out, or are a fan of Tokyo, please
share this plot with Netflix, writer & producer Alex Pina and any other
place it can get attention, so the makers get some ideas for Season 6!
